Three MPI Team Members Receive CFA® Designation

MPI (Management Planning Inc.), a business valuation and advisory firm providing valuations for a variety of tax, financial reporting and other business applications, as well as corporate advisory services to business owners and their representatives, is proud to announce that Christopher J. Botsakos, Vincent A. LaRosa and Todd G. Povlich have been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation by The CFA Institute.  The CFA credential is the most respected and recognized investment designation in the world. The curriculum covers academic theory, current industry practice, and ethical and professional standards to provide a strong foundation of advanced investment analysis and real-world portfolio management skills.

The trio joins eight other team members at MPI that hold the CFA charter.

Chris is an assistant vice president at MPI and based in the firm’s New York City office.  Chris has determined the value of closely held securities and partnerships in many industries for a variety of purposes, including gift and estate tax, income tax, corporate planning and restructuring, sale, merger, stock purchase plans and buy-sell agreements.  Chris has prepared valuations of closely held operating companies, asset holding entities, as well as other securities such as undivided interests in real estate, closely held promissory notes and preferred stock.

A senior associate at MPI, Vincent is based in the firm’s New York City office.  He has performed numerous valuations of business interests and intangible assets for financial reporting, gift and estate tax purposes, and other corporate purposes.  In support of the foregoing, Vincent has prepared documented valuation analyses for presentation to management, directors and stockholders of client companies, as well as to attorneys, accountants and other fiduciaries. 

Todd is a Partner at MPI and also based in the firm's New York City office.  Since joining MPI, Todd has determined the value of closely held securities of companies and partnerships in many industries for a variety of purposes, including estate and gift tax, income tax, matrimonial proceedings, Employee Stock Ownership Plans , corporate planning and restructuring, financial reporting, sale, merger, stock purchase plans and buy-sell agreements.  Todd oversees the firm's alternative asset management and carried interest valuation practice.  Todd is a member of the Estate Planning Council of New York City and the New York State Society of CPAs.
