Joe is a Managing Director and Partner at MPI and heads up the firm’s financial reporting and corporate valuation group. Since joining MPI, Joe has performed hundreds of equity and intangible asset valuations for financial reporting, tax purposes, and other corporate purposes. The valuation work and analyses prepared and managed by Joe have been used for the following purposes: purchase price allocations, impairment testing, equity valuations in support of share-based compensation, complex capital structure valuations (i.e., OPM, PWERM, and others), royalty rate analyses, transfers of intangible assets, corporate spin-offs and restructurings, purchases and sales of minority equity interests, valuations of preferred stocks and debt securities, and valuations in support of estate and gift tax matters. Joe is a member of the Board of Directors of Management Planning, Inc. He has given a number of speeches on business valuation and has testified in U.S. Tax Court.
Prior to MPI, Joe spent five years in middle market commercial banking, where responsibilities included analyzing the financial performance and creditworthiness of corporate borrowers, recommending and structuring credit facilities, and providing support for ancillary commercial services offered by the bank.
