Laura has more than 15 years of experience performing valuations for closely-held, publicly-traded and investor-backed companies. Laura has performed hundreds of equity and intangible asset valuations for financial reporting, tax compliance, and corporate planning purposes. The valuation assignments prepared by Laura have been used for purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment testing, equity incentive compensation, purchase and sale of equity interests, and in support of gift and estate planning.
Prior to joining MPI, Laura spent two years at Porto Leone Consulting assisting clients with business and intangible asset valuations. Prior to that, Laura spent more than a decade at Baker Tilly Capital performing business and intangible asset valuations as well as assisting the investment banking practice in the preparation of confidential memoranda, fairness opinions, and analytical support for corporate transactions. Laura began her career in the Transaction Advisory Services group at Ernst & Young performing fixed asset valuations for purposes of assisting investors with tax economics related to sale-leaseback transactions.
