Rich has more than 20 years of experience performing valuations of privately held businesses,
holding companies, intangible assets, and power plants for both domestic and multinational clients.
These valuations have been used for financial reporting, gift and estate tax planning, internal
planning purposes, and litigation support. Rich has assisted clients in several industries including
those in construction, customer relationship management, direct mail, environmental services,
food production, life sciences, lumber, power and utilities, publishing and media, pulp and paper,
refrigeration, software, technology, and transportation.
Prior to joining MPI, Rich spent four years at RSM in Boston assisting both external clients and
internal auditors with valuations of intangible assets, preferred and common equity, and options.
Prior to that, Rich spent over 10 years at Appraisal Economics in New Jersey performing
valuations of intangible assets, partnership interests, preferred and common equity, options, and
power plants. He previously worked for Deloitte in New York, where he focused on valuations in
connection with domestic and international structured finance transactions of paper mills, power
plants, and electricity distribution systems.
