Shafiq N. Jalal, ASA, MBA - Assistant Vice President

Shafiq is an Assistant Vice President at MPI and brings more than 15 years of experience valuing
closely held securities of companies across a wide range of industries, including diversified
industrials, construction, technology, healthcare, logistics and professional services. Shafiq has
prepared valuations for a variety of purposes, including estate and gift taxes, dispute resolution,
corporate and ownership succession planning, fairness opinions, Employee Stock Ownership Plans
(ESOPs) and financial reporting. The valuation analyses and reports prepared by Shafiq have been
used for presentations to management, directors and stockholders of client companies, trustees, as
well as legal and financial advisors.


Furthermore, Shafiq has served as a neutral appraiser in numerous disputes and has testified in
court as expert witness. In addition, Shafiq has spoken to professional organizations on business
valuation topics.


Prior to joining MPI, Shafiq held positions of increasing responsibility over the span of more than
a decade in valuation practices of pre-eminent accounting firms in New York. Shafiq also
previously held a finance executive position at a Single Family Office, where he oversaw a multi-million
dollar portfolio of public and private investments, and served as Board observer to several
privately held portfolio companies located across the U.S.
